On the last weekend of November, the traditional Wantermaart (Winter Market) in Bertrange opened its doors for the 15th time. For this special anniversary edition, the organizing team moved the Winter Market to the Parc Central and prepared some surprises for its visitors.

As soon as you entered the Parc Central, you were enchanted by the large arch of light that marked the official entrance to the Winter Market. Along the way, the many wooden huts were brightly lit, offering handcrafted goods, delicacies and tasty treats to eat or drink. Each evening, the crowds gathered under the big tent to enjoy a spectacular concert or to meet Santa Claus, who took time out of his busy schedule to greet the children at the Winter Market. Just behind the tent was the chalet, which hosted workshops for children and will remain in place for the next few weeks, allowing our local associations and the organizing teams of the Commune de Bertrange to organize public and private events.

After the great success of this year’s edition, the College of Aldermen is already considering making the move to the Parc Central permanent and organizing a big winter market every year. A corresponding survey has been launched in our Bertrange app to hear your feedback.
