The art of burlesque in all its splendour was the promise… and the guests of the 5th anniversary spectacle of Burlesque Luxembourg were not disappointed. In a fully packed ArcA, the mostly first-time burlesque audience enjoyed a great show and an unforgettable after-party.

“The art of burlesque is not just about taking your clothes off, it is about having confidence in yourself and feeling sexy. A burlesque performance is 50% for the performer and 50% for the audience. The more the audience gives, cheers and enjoys the show, the more the performer is inspired to give back to the audience,” explained the host at the start of the evening.

And so the spectacle began!

13 performances by national and international burlesque artists and groups lit up the ArcA stage. And indeed, the audience witnessed not only beautiful women and men getting undressed, but theatrical performances with more or less subtle messages, elaborate group acts and, of course, the world-famous champagne glass show. Guests and performers alike enjoyed a fabulous show with lots of laughter, amazing dancing, acrobatics and singing, and most importantly, a great feeling of body positivity and confidence.

The 2-hour show was capped off with an epic after-party with the performers in the lobby of the ArcA, and we hope to see the lovely team of Burlesque Luxembourg back on stage at the ArcA soon.
